Import video-
Save desired video on Desktop or somewhere easy to find.
Open Movie Maker program.
Click “Import Video” on left hand side list.
Menu will pop up, click on the video you want to import.
Click open.
Video will import.
Split a clip
Play clip.
Pause at the point you want to split it.
Push “split clip” button on video screen.
To add a picture
Import pictures by clicking “import pictures” on menu and follow directions.
If needed, split clip where you want to insert picture.
Click on picture and drag to where you want to insert it.
To lengthen or trim a clip
Click on clip. Draw play head to the edge you want to shorten or lengthen.
Hold left button down to change length.
CTRL + z to undo.
Video Effects-
Click on video effects or video transitions.
Click the one you desire and drag onto clip.
Split clip to use different effects on different areas.
To remove right click on clip and click on “video effects,” then select remove and okay.
To overlay text-
Click on Make Titles or Credits on left-hand menu.Decide where you want the text and click on appropriate choice.
Type text and click done or click “Change font, animation or color.”
